Unknown assailants stole dozens of relics from an exhibit in the Ashdod museum Tuesday night, including artifacts dating to the time of Alexander the Great.The relics include a number of silver coins from the Hellenistic period, two gold earrings, a bronze spear, and several pieces of pottery.Amir Ganor, head of the Israel Antiquities Authority's anti-theft division, vowed to find the assailants through probing the antiquities market. Police have opened an investigation into the theft.
