A driver suspected of transporting 67 illegal Palestinian workers in a refrigerated truck was captured by police in Modi'in on Saturday morning.

The Palestinians had paid NIS 150 for the journey from Hebron to Modi'in, police said Sunday.

"Forty percent of the Palestinian workforce in Modi'in works without a permit," Dep.-Cmdr. Yoram Barina told The Jerusalem Post.

"We encounter this phenomenon daily," he added.

One Palestinian was taken to the Assaf Harofeh Medical Center after feeling unwell due to overcrowding.
