Gilad Erdan, who was newly installed as public security minister, told Israel Radio on Tuesday that the government would be willing to make “territorial concessions” to the Palestinians “if a partner ever emerges.”

“First, [Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas] needs to stop his unilateral actions in the international arena and return to the negotiating table,” said Erdan, who was referring to the Palestinian drive to gain recognition as an independent state in various world bodies like the United Nations and the International Criminal Court.
