US Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Martin Dempsey toured a battery of the Iron Dome missile-defense system as part of an ongoing joint US-Israeli military exercise.

"It is a great honor to be here at the battery protecting Israel," Dempsey said according to Army Radio. "This is an amazing achievement, and we are proud to be part of it."

Dempsey was accompanied by IDF Chief of Staff Lt.- Gen. Benny Gantz.
