Hamas's military wing threatens PA officials amidst arrests

The military wing of Hamas threatened to "go after" Palestinian Authority officials on Wednesday, in retribution for the detainment and torture of "resistance activists" in the West Bank, Palestinian news agency Ma'an reported.
The Al-Qassam Brigades' spokesman Abu Ubayda, speaking on behalf of 12 military groups in Gaza, said that they are "fed up with the PA security's behavior in the West Bank."
Abu Ubayda stated that Hamas had not yet responded to the arrests of hundreds of its operatives in the West Bank in order to give current efforts to bring about a reconciliation between Fatah and Hamas a chance. However, he added, the ongoing reunification talks "were not enough to prevent chasing and detaining Mujaheddin. Nobody can blame us if we go after leaders of the Fatah-run authority everywhere, and treat them equally."
