Israel Air Force holds surprise drill

The Israel Air Force and the IDF’s Technology and Logistics Directorate completed a surprise drill on Tuesday that simulated a range of scenarios.
All air force units took part in the exercise, from the operational headquarters to the munitions units that arm fighter jets. The Technology and Logistics Directorate practiced drafting hundreds of reservists in an emergency call-up and mobilizing armored vehicles for combat situations.
IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Benny Gantz held an evaluation meeting with military commanders at the Operational Forum of Israel Air Force Headquarters, before visiting the Ramat David Air Base in the Jezreel Valley.
The IDF said it was pleased with the results of the drill, which it added was part of an annual exercise cycle and planned in advance.
