Israel's banks to open additional branches on Thursday

Banks will open additional branches on Thursday following new instructions issued by the Bank of Israel, reflecting the government's decision to lift some restrictions on the economy earlier this week.

The number of branches open to the public will be increased from 15% to at least 30% across the country, the central bank said.

Despite increased access, the Bank of Israel's Supervision Department urged the public to continue carrying out a range of banking activities by telephone, bank applications and websites, and ATMs.
