KUWAIT - Kuwait's Foreign Ministry has told its citizens to leave Lebanon and avoid traveling to the country because of increasing violence fueled by the revolt in neighboring Syria, state-run news agency KUNA reported on Monday, citing a ministry source.

"Kuwaitis ... should not travel to Lebanon under any circumstances," KUNA quoted the source as saying.

At least two people were killed in Beirut in heavy clashes between rival Sunni Muslim gunmen early on Monday.
