WASHINGTON - The US Embassy in Paris is making every effort to account for American citizens in the city following a series of attacks on Friday, Secretary of State John Kerry said in a statement.

He said the United States stands ready to provide whatever support the French government may require. Kerry is in Vienna for international talks on ways to end the war in Syria.
