Maliki: Mexico to recognize Palestinian State

Mexico and the Republic of Suriname are expected within the coming weeks to recognize a Palestinian state announced Riyad al-Maliki in his interview with the Arabic news daily Asharq al-Awsat.

The announcement came after Chile announced last weekend its support in the recognition of Palestinian state, joining South American countries Brazil, Argentina, Bolivia, and Ecuador. According to notes written by the Palestinian Authority, Paraguay and Uruguay also have plans to publish notices of recognition for a Palestinian state.
