Police arrested a man in his fifties for attacking the Mayor of Kiryat Ono on Sunday evening immediately after a council meeting in the town. Police say the suspect pushed the mayor.

Police suspect that the suspect was angry at the mayor for not keeping promises that he made to him. Police say the suspect pushed the mayor. 

The suspect will be brought before the Tel Aviv Magistrates Court on Monday who will decide on the extension of his remand to custody.
