A 41-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday night at Ben Gurion Airport on suspicion of causing death by negligence during a traffic accident in November 2003, in which a 68-year-old female pedestrian was struck by a car driven by the suspect.

The suspect fled the country immediately after the incident, police said, and was declared a wanted fugitive.

While abroad, he served a five-year-prison sentence in India for a conviction of dealing in narcotics
