Medical sources: Eight protesters killed in Egypt's Damietta

CAIRO - Eight protesters were killed on Friday in the Egyptian Mediterranean town of Damietta in clashes with security forces, medical sources said, as demonstrations over a crackdown on Islamists gathered pace.

"The number of people killed in Damietta rose to eight," said emergency service official Abdel Wahab Dura.
