Menahem Ben Sasson to be Hebrew University's next president

The Hebrew University's Board of Trustees accepted the recommendation of a committee that was reviewing several candidates to replace university president Prof. Menahem Megidor. Professor Menahem Ben Sasson, 58, a researcher of the history of the Jewish People, will replace Megidor as university president. Ben Sasson studied in Israel and also in Cambridge University in England. He also served as a member of Knesset in Kadima during the previous government. Ben Sasson also served in prominent positions in several research institutes in Israel and abroad and has taught extensively.
