Ministry issues tap water advisory for Kinneret region

The Ministry of Health issued an advisory Thursday warning against use of tap water in the Kinneret region, including Tiberias. The advisory did not apply to the rest of the country.

The ministry reported that a malfunction in a water treatment plant had caused the water to be unsafe for drinking or use for cooking without first boiling the water, until further notice.

The statement indicated that the ministry would continue to provide updates on the situation as it develops.
