A powerful explosion killed 21 people Wednesday morning in the southern Syrian province of Daraa, AFP cited a monitoring group as saying.

"Twenty-one people were killed in the Nawa area (of Daraa), among them four children and six women, in a blast that detonated as their vehicle went past Tal al-Jumua," AFP quoted the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights as reporting.
