PHOENIX - Most of the hundreds of protesters who joined an anti-Islam demonstration outside an Arizona mosque and the hundreds who showed up in a counter demonstration had left by Friday night without any flare-ups of violence and no arrests.

More than 200 people, some armed, berated Islam and the Prophet Mohammed outside the Islamic Community Center of Phoenix in a provocative protest denounced by about as many counterprotesters shouting "Go home, Nazis," weeks after an anti-Muslim event in Texas came under attack by two gunmen.
