NJ Jewish federation names new CEO

Dov Ben-Shimon, a former spokesman for president Shimon Peres, was named executive vice president/ CEO of the Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ on Monday.
The British-Israeli Ben-Shimon served as assistant spokesman for Peres when the latter was foreign minister in the early 2000s, and he worked as deputy ambassador at the Israeli Embassy in Angola and as the head of the Israeli Reform Movement. In addition, he has worked in senior positions at the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles and the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee.
