LONDON — Police in Northern Ireland said Saturday they were investigating a bomb attack that injured three children.

Officers said a device exploded Saturday close to a school in Lurgan, Co. Armagh, west of Belfast.

Police evacuated homes in the area following reports of a separate device when a bomb exploded without warning in Kilmaine Street. Two 12-year-old children and a two-year old suffered cuts caused by flying debris.

A total of two other suspicious objects in the area are being checked by army specialists, police said.
