Palestinian leadership decides to continue security coordination with Israel

Palestinian leadership decided Sunday to continue security coordination with Israel, present statehood plan to Security Council on Wednesday. Abbas’s adviser on religious affairs, told the Bethlehem-based Ma’an news agency that the Palestinians plan would be presented for a vote at the Security Council on Wednesday.

He said that the Palestinian leaders decided to pursue security coordination with Israel “to protect the vital interests of the Palestinian people.” He added: “Security coordination won’t be halted as long as it serves Palestinian interests. When it becomes against our interests, we will stop it.”
