A celebration tent erected on a soccer field in the volatile east Jerusalem neighborhood of Isawiya for a terrorist released from prison was taken down by police and municipal officials on Tuesday.
The tent was dismantled and confiscated following an order issued by Jerusalem District Police Commander, Major-General Yoram Halevy.
Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat condemned the celebration in a statement, adding “Together with the police, we will continue to fight aggressively against terrorism, and we won’t allow any terror organization to operate in our city.”
