An Iranian fleet of warships docked at a Sudanese port on Monday, as a move meant to convey a message of peace and friendship to neighboring countries, Iranian news agencies reported.

The flotilla was also aimed at guaranteeing the security of seafaring and shipping lines in the face of  sea piracy.

According to a report by the Navy's public relations office, cited by Fars, the fleet commanders were scheduled to meet with the Sudanese navy commander.
