Report: Obama requests Pentagon draw up Syrian no-fly zone

The Obama administration has requested the Pentagon draft a prospective no-fly zone inside Syria to be recognized by the US and other Western nations, The Daily Beast on Tuesday cited two White House official as saying.

The administration requested the plans prior to US Secretary of State John Kerry's visit to the Middle East earlier in the week, during which he unveiled on Sunday a $4 billion economic plan to revitalize the Palestinian economy, and called on Israelis and Palestinians to forgive past wrongs and return to the negotiating table.Tovah Lazaroff contributed to this report.
