US Ambassador to Israel Dan Shapiro addressed The Jerusalem Post Diplomatic Conference in the capital on Wednesday, saying that US President Barack Obama will remain committed to advancing Israeli-Palestinian peace in his last two months in office.

Shapiro said that the security coordination that Israel and the US have had during Obama's tenure has continued since the election and will continue with the delivery to Israel of two F-35 jets in December.

The US will continue to pursue a negotiated two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, being guided by last summer's Quartet report, he said.

The report called on the sides to take steps to reverse negative trends on the ground that make a two-state solution possible, including a halt to terror and settlement expansion.
