Soccer fan stabbed during brawl in Beersheba

A Hapoel Beersheba fan who was involved in a brawl with rival Betar Jerusalem fans in Beersheba following a match on Saturday afternoon was stabbed and moderately wounded.

The stab victim was taken to the Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba for treatment. Police officers who escorted Betar fans out of the Negev city were assaulted during the disturbances.

Police have launched a search for the stabbing suspect, and say that his "identity is known to us."
