Following a scud missile attack on the Syrian city of Halab, tens of people were reportedly killed, many of them still trapped under the rubble, Israel Radio reported Saturday.

The Syrian opposition has called on the US to fulfill its promise of ending the government's massacre in Syria. A spokesman from the leading opposition group said in a report to a French television network that the US has yet to succeed in ending President Bashar Assad's massacre of the Syrian population, despite it being the leading world power. The spokesman added that Western promises will not protect the Syrian nation. He asserted that the visit of Syrian opposition leaders in Washington D.C. has been postponed, but not cancelled, following the firing of scud missiles on the city of Halab on Saturday night.
