Syria's first-ever ambassador to Lebanon has presented his credentials to the Lebanese president in the latest sign of improving relations between the two neighbors after years of tensions. According to an official statement, Ali Abdul Karim Ali presented his credentials to Lebanese President Michel Suleiman on Friday. The move came more than a month after Michel Khoury took up his post in Damascus as Lebanon's first ambassador to Syria.
