TA municipality votes to ask gov't for buses on Sabbath

The Tel Aviv Municipality voted Monday to request from the Transportation Ministry that public transportation be operated in the city on Shabbat.

Tel Aviv Mayor Ron Huldai supported the Meretz proposal which passed 13-7.

The decision to allow buses in the city on Shabbat now lies with the Transportation Ministry's public transportation clerk.
