Three Palestinians were injured near the Gaza border on Monday after being shot by IDF fire, the Ma'an news agency reported, citing a Gaza-based medical official. A Gazan Health Ministry spokesman said two teens were injured east of Khan Younis, a town in southern Gaza, and were taken to a hospital for medical care. Eye witnesses reported that a third person was shot after Israeli forces opened fire during a protest honoring Land Day. The event in the coastal enclave follows a day of protests, as Palestinians marked the 39th anniversary of Land Day, which commemorates the deaths of six Galilee Arabs in 1976 riots over a government decision to confiscate land.
