Two people were killed and two were injured in a collision between two vehicles on Route 310 near Tarabin in the Arava on Monday.

Two victims, both in their twenties, were pronounced dead on the scene by MDA paramedics and two men in serious condition, a 19-year-old and an approximately 50-year-old, were transported to Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba for further treatment.

MDA paramedic Zaki Alhozayil, who arrived at the scene, said that the collision sent one of the vehicles careening into a ditch on the side of the road, while the second vehicle came to a stop on the shoulder.

"The passengers in both vehicles were trapped in very serious condition," he stated. Paramedics succeeded in pulling two men out of the vehicle and transporting them to hospital, but the others succumbed to their injuries.
