US hikers' lawyer prevented from leaving Iran

The attorney who represented the two US men recnetly released from Iranian jail after two years was prevented from leaving the Islamic Republi himself on Sunday, Fox News quoted a source close to the case as saying.

"This morning at around six o'clock, after getting his passport stamped and as he was boarding the plane, his passport was confiscated by order of the judiciary," the source reportedly said

The attorney, Masoud Shafii, was stopped while trying to fly to the US, according to the source.

The incident came after Shafii was questioned and had documents confiscated by judiciary officials last week.
