Ya'alon apologizes for comments he made about Kerry

Late on Tuesday evening Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon released an apology, with the US insisting on one, for disparaging comments that Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon made about US Secretary of State John Kerry

"I did not intend to cause offense  to Secretary of State Kerry, and  I apologize if he was offended by the comments attributed to me."

The Ministry of Defense statement said that "Israel and the US share the common goal of  advancing peace with the Palestinians, led by Secretary of State Kerry. We appreciate Kerry's great efforts  toward this goal.
