Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon hailed US-Israel ties on Friday during a meeting with his US counterpart Chuck Hagel.

Amid a recent rift between Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and US Presdient Barack Obama over the Iranian nuclear standoff, Ya'alon stressed that relations between the two nations were based on "true friendship that overcomes disputes that arise from time to time".
