Labor Party leader Shelly Yacimovich on Wednesday called on Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to intervene on behalf of contract workers and bring an end to the general strike which began Wednesday morning.
"This is the most justified kind of strike there is: organized workers striking not for themselves, but for those who are weaker than they are," Yacimovich stated.
She added" "It is shameful that private employers have already come to an agreement with the Histadrut, whereas the state continues to hold its dubious position as the biggest, most exploitative employer of contract workers there is."
