Zionist Union MK Yacimovich eyeing Histadrut run

Zionist Union MK Shelly Yacimovich is considering running for Histadrut chairwoman, she said Saturday at a cultural event in Nes Ziona.

"The Histadrut is an important and central body that deals with the issue that is dearest to me, the right to make a living in dignity and workers' rights, which are the first conditions for being a civilized society that respects its workers," Yacimovich said.

However, the former Labor leader said that she is not sure what her next steps will be, because MKs have a lot of influence and she thinks there will be great changes in politics in the coming years that she wants to be a part of.
