A day after the terrorist attack in Qasr el Yahod thousands of Christian pilgrims arrived to pray and baptize their children in the waters of the Jordan river on the spot where Christians believe Jesus was baptized.
The holiday of Epiphany is celebrated across the Christian world during the month of January, most commonly on January 6. The Orthodox Church observed the holiday on January 19. The holiday drew thousands of believers to the site which is kept secure by Israeli security forces.
