With the threat of war with Hezbollah constantly on the minds of Israeli military planners, the IDF wants it enemy to the north to know that it is preparing for the next round.
The IDF released a video on Sunday showing how a crack combat engineering unit drills the takeover of an enemy position in built-up, urban environments.
The unit, known as Combat Engineering Battalion 601, can be seen planning and executing a simulated nighttime raid in the sort of fighting that Israel can expect to see during the next tussle with the Lebanon-based Shi’ite guerilla organization.
