More than 1,100 Los Angeles community members gathered to celebrate the Israeli-American Council (IAC)’s 8th Annual Los Angeles Gala on Sunday and raised approximately $17 million for its many programs, including the council's Shepher Community Center - the first Israeli-American community center in the country.

The event was hosted by comedian and television star Howie Mandel, and featured video greetings from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti

Among the honored guests at the event were Dr. Miriam and Sheldon Adelson, US members of Congress Ted Lieu, Ed Royce, and Tony Cardenas, and members of the California State Assembly and the Los Angeles City Council.
