The meeting comes after the committee approved controversial changes to the primary system that were expected to grant Netanyahu authority to determine eight reserved slots on the party list.

At the center of the dispute was a set of election rules approved by the Likud Constitution Committee, headed by Katz and supported by Netanyahu.
