Al-Qaida in new posting criticizes Pakistan

A new video message purportedly by al-Qaida criticizes Pakistani leaders - both past and present - and accuses them of having no concern for the welfare of Muslims. Monday's message was posted on militant Web sites commonly used by al-Qaida. It's a compilation of old videos, including those of the terror networks leader Osama bin Laden and al-Qaida's No. 2 Ayman al-Zawahri. In the hour-long video, an unnamed narrator in Urdu calls on Pakistani Muslims to prepare for holy war and take up arms against corrupt governments. The narrator says that if they take "charge of the trenches of your homes" then all "infidel schemes will be in vain." The message also pays tribute to Abdul Rashid Ghazi, killed in a gunbattle between militants and Pakistani troops in July 2007.
