China called on Iran to "resume full cooperation" with the UN nuclear agency and endorsed a European offer of incentives to persuade Tehran to give up uranium enrichment.
China's foreign minister also called on Hamas to recognize Israel's right to exist and cease violence. The Tuesday morning statement came ahead of Hamas Foreign Minister a-Zahar's Wednesday visit to Beijing, during which he will meet with his Chinese counterpart.
