Earthquake measuring 6.2 hits southern Greece

A strong earthquake with preliminary magnitude 6.2 has struck southwestern Greece, the US Geological Survey said Sunday. There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage. The quake struck at 3:25 p.m. Sunday and had an epicenter 199 kilometers west of Athens. The temblor was strongly felt in Athens and throughout southern and central Greece. Greece is one of the world's most earthquake-prone countries.
