Federal authorities have released the names of two terrorist suspects they believe might be returning to Germany.
Federal prosecutors and police said Thursday in a statement that they were looking for 21-year-old Eric Breininger and 23-year-old Houssain Al Malla.
Prosecutors' spokesman Frank Wallenta said a warrant was issued some time ago for both men on suspicion of belonging to a terrorist organization.
It is now thought that the pair - believed to have been in Afghanistan or Pakistan - could be on their way back to Germany.
Police spokesman Christian Brockert said the two were thought to be linked to a group whose plot to blow up American targets in Germany was foiled last year.
