Military says Tamil Tigers bomb air force base in northern Sri Lanka

The Tamil Tigers bombed an air force base in northern Sri Lanka early Monday in the first major attack by the rebel group's small air wing in months, Sri Lankan military officials said.
There were no immediate reports of casualties from the attack at the Anuradhapura air base, according to military officials in the area
