UK air force mounts complex rescue operation to evacuate injured sailor

British royal air force spokesman Michael Mulford told Sky News television on Wednesday that a helicopter was on its way to help an injured sailor hundreds of miles out into the Atlantic. Mulford identified the sailor as being from Myanmar and said US and Irish were cooperating with the rescue. The sailor will hopefully be evacuated from the ship to Shannon in Ireland in a matter of hours.
