Ahmadinejad: US participation in nuclear talks 'positive step forward'

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has praised as a "positive step forward" the US participation in the latest round of nuclear talks with Iran. He says it also was an attempt toward "recognizing" Iran's right to acquire nuclear technology. Addressing thousands of supporters Wednesday in the southern Iranian town of Yasouj, he said the US decision to attend the talks in Geneva, Switzerland, also constituted a step toward "justice" and repairing what he called America's image in the world.
