Iran's official news agency said on Sunday that a US-Indian nuclear agreement violates the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.
IRNA agency quoted Mohammad Saeedi, deputy head of Iran's atomic energy department. Saeedi said that nuclear-armed India had not signed the treaty and that transferring nuclear technology to India would undermine it.
US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice visited India on Saturday to commemorate - but not sign - the deal. US officials said that they would respect the non-proliferation treaty.
