Iran says IAEA has settled 'Green Salt Project' allegations

An investigation by the UN nuclear watchdog into an alleged secret nuclear weapons study has been resolved, Iranian state TV reported on Sunday. According to a report on the state TV Web site, the head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, Gholam Reza Aghazadeh, said that the "Green Salt Project" case between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency has been "settled." IAEA told Iran the case was settled in an official letter, Aghazadeh said, but did not elaborate. The United States has alleged that the "Green Salt Project" was an Iranian plan studying diverse components of a nuclear weapons program, including uranium enrichment and high explosives testing.
