Iranian FM says Teheran willing to host 'counter-Annapolis' conference

Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki has told the leaders of Palestinian organizations in Damascus that Teheran would be willing to host a counter-conference to the Annapolis parley, which is scheduled to take place at the end of November, Israel Radio reported. The counter-conference was originally slated to take place in Damascus last week. Israel Radio quoted the London-based Al-Hayat pan-Arab newspaper to the effect that Iran made the offer following the emergence of several factors that made the Damascus venue less likely.
