Meanwhile, Kulanu leader Moshe Kahlon headed to the polls early on Tuesday morning to cast his ballot in Haifa.

While at the ballot box, Kahlon promised that if elected to the forthcoming government, he will clean up Haifa's ocean and beaches.

He added that he would restore the former glory of the party from previous elections and encouraged Israelis to go out and vote.

The Kulanu Party has been hovering on the threshold in numerous polls over the last month.

Kahlon is the country's finance minister.

He shared a video on Twitter of him meeting a young couple outside his voting booth. "In your merit we fulfilled a dream," the couple told him. "In your merit we have a house. Continue, for us and for the younger generation, to do all the good that you do."
